Teaching

Let’s try to explain science in classrooms.

I am in charge of the Mathématiques appliquées, statistique (MSc) program at the University of Aix-Marseille since September 2021. I am also involved in the MIASHS (BSc) program.

Mathématiques appliquées, statistique (MSc)

There are four different tracks in the Applied Mathematics and Statistics Master’s program at Aix-Marseille University:

  • Computational and Mathematical Biology (CMB)
  • Data Science (DS)
  • Ingénierie Mathématiques et Sciences Actuarielles (IMSA)
  • MASS : analyse des Populations (MASSPop)

and around 20 students per track per year.

In 2024/25, I will be involved in the following courses:

Statistique de la science des données (M2 DS & CMB, MSc Scicences Cognitives = 2nd year)

Données manipulation et visualisation (M1 DS, IMSA and MASSPop = 1st year) In R, Python and SAS!

Modèles linéaires (M1 DS, IMSA and MASSPop = 1st year)

Features engineering (M1 DS et IMSA = 1st year, within the course Projet intégré)

In 2023/24, I was involved in the following courses:

Linear models (M1 DS, IMSA and MASSPop = 1st year)

Statistique décisionnelle (M1 DS et IMSA = 1st year)

Statistique de la science des données (M2 DS & CMB = 2nd year)

Analyse statistique de données (M2 IMSA = 2nd year)

Statistical inference and big data in Biology (M2 CMB = 2nd year)

MIASHS (BSc)

The MIASHS program is a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Social Sciences at the University of Aix-Marseille. There are around 70 students in the first year of the program.

In 2024/25, I will be involved in the following courses:

Probabilités et statistique 1 (L1 = 1st year)

Probabilités et statistique 2 (L1 = 1st year)

In 2023/24, I was involved in the following courses:

Probabilités et statistique discrètes (L1 = 1st year)
