Projects

Here is an overview of the projects I am currently involved in.

This is a first draft.

Statistics and Astrophysics

I have supervised two phd students in the field of statistics and astrophysics with researchs from the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille (LAM):

  • Bayesian statistics to study the evolution of galaxies by comparing modelled galaxy spectral energy distributions (SEDs) to observed ones within the CIGALE project

  • Bayesian model selection to detect high redshift quasar candidates in the Euclid mission

Statistics and mathematical models in Biology

This is a project involving Florence Hubert, Sophie Chauvet, Fanny Mann and Mathieu Mezache. We are working on the development of new statistical methods to fit mathematical models (based on ODE and PDE) to biological data to understand the remodeling of the nervous system in tumors.

Missing data in massive datasets

This is a project involving Hadrien Lorenzo and Manuela Carenzi. We are working on the development of a Bayesian model that can impute missing data when the missing mechanism is a mixture of missing at random and under-dectection in high dimensional datasets.
